Deactivate or delete
Snapchat lets an account be deactivated for a period before deletion. The support page describes the steps and what the owner can do.
What it means for a claim
- Usernames can be changed once every 12 months by the owner.
- A deactivated account can be reactivated.
- A route such as username infringement needs a real basis.
What to do
Try the name in the username screen. If it is not accepted, read the Snapchat rules page and pick a variation.
