Can TikTok give me the exact @handle I want?
TikTok says that in most instances it cannot reassign a username. A claim only makes sense when an impersonation or trademark route fits the handle.
Is an inactive TikTok handle free to take?
TikTok may reset a username to a randomized numeric one after 180 days or more of inactivity. TikTok decides when, inactivity is not visible to others, and it cannot be requested.
What if a close variation is enough?
Change it yourself in Edit profile. TikTok allows one username change every 30 days.
