Instagram first: what holds up in Israel
Israel’s Trademarks Ordinance gives the clearest paper to hold: a mark registered with the Israel Patent Office, which Instagram’s intellectual property form can read. The Commercial Torts Law of 1999 also prohibits passing off, which is useful background when a profile trades on a name. Neither moves a handle by itself, and Instagram decides under its own forms.
The four official routes are set out in the routes guide and compared on the routes comparison.
What to have ready in Israel
For a request from Israel the useful evidence is a mark on the Israel Patent Office register, proof of use of the name in business, or evidence that a profile is posing as you. The preparation checklist lists the rest: the exact handle, the profile it is for, and what ties the name to you.
Never send a password or a login code. Nobody who needs one is working through an official route. See claim scams.
TikTok and Snapchat from Israel
A Hebrew or Arabic brand name has to be claimed in its Latin spelling on all three platforms, and Hebrew has no single standard romanisation, so the same name can appear as Haim, Chaim or Hayim. A claim should state the spelling the brand uses abroad and show it on the mark or the website. TikTok and Snapchat go through trademark and infringement forms.
Handle limits for both are on the TikTok rules and Snapchat rules pages.

How a request from Israel usually runs
- You send the handle you want and the profile it is for, on WhatsApp or email, and say you are in Israel.
- We look at whether an official route fits the facts and tell you if it looks workable.
- The price is agreed in chat before any work starts.
- The request is filed with each platform’s process. The platform makes the final decision, and a claim that fails is covered by the refund policy.
