Evidence that suits a request from United Arab Emirates
For a request from the United Arab Emirates the useful evidence is a UAE trademark registration, a trade licence that matches the name, or evidence that a profile is posing as you. The preparation checklist lists the rest: the exact handle, the profile it is for, and what ties the name to you.

Starting with Instagram in United Arab Emirates
Trademarks in the UAE are registered with the Ministry of Economy under the federal trademark law, and a registered mark is the clearest paper for Instagram’s intellectual property form. A trade licence from a free zone or the mainland shows a business exists under a name, but it is a licence and not a mark. Both are supporting facts for a platform that makes its own decision.
The four official routes are set out in the routes guide and compared on the routes comparison.
Facts to cite
- Trade marks: the Ministry of Economy trademark registry.
- Personal data: the Federal Personal Data Protection Law (Decree-Law 45 of 2021), with the UAE Data Office as the regulator.
- Consumer and advertising matters: the Ministry of Economy.
- Languages: Arabic and English.
- Currency for the price: UAE dirham (AED). The price is agreed in your chat or email before work starts.
These are reference points, not legal advice. A platform’s decision on a handle follows its own policy.
The other two platforms in United Arab Emirates
The UAE’s cybercrime law, Federal Decree-Law 34 of 2021, includes offences about impersonation and defamation online, which is why impersonation of a named person is treated seriously. It is a matter for the courts and police. A platform impersonation report is a separate step. TikTok and Snapchat go through trademark and infringement forms.
Handle limits for both are on the TikTok rules and Snapchat rules pages.
The order of work
- You send the handle you want and the profile it is for, on WhatsApp or email, and say you are in the United Arab Emirates.
- We look at whether an official route fits the facts and tell you if it looks workable.
- The price is agreed in chat before any work starts.
- The request is filed with each platform’s process. The platform makes the final decision, and a claim that fails is covered by the refund policy.
