Instagram first: what holds up in Qatar
Qatar’s trademark law is Law 7 of 2014, which adopted the GCC Trademark Law. A registered mark is the clearest paper to hold for Instagram’s intellectual property form. A commercial registration shows a business exists under a name, but it is not a trade mark. Both are supporting facts, and the platform makes its own decision.
The four official routes are set out in the routes guide and compared on the routes comparison.
What to have ready in Qatar
For a request from Qatar the useful evidence is a Qatari trademark registration, a commercial registration that matches the name, or evidence that a profile is posing as you. The preparation checklist lists the rest: the exact handle, the profile it is for, and what ties the name to you.
Never send a password or a login code. Nobody who needs one is working through an official route. See claim scams.
TikTok and Snapchat from Qatar
Qatar’s Cybercrime Prevention Law, Law 14 of 2014, covers a range of online offences, and the Personal Data Privacy Protection Law, Law 13 of 2016, covers personal data. Neither moves a handle. TikTok and Snapchat claims go through their trademark and infringement forms, with the mark’s registration number in the filing.
Handle limits for both are on the TikTok rules and Snapchat rules pages.

- You send the handle you want and the profile it is for, on WhatsApp or email, and say you are in Qatar.
- We look at whether an official route fits the facts and tell you if it looks workable.
- The price is agreed in chat before any work starts.
- The request is filed with each platform’s process. The platform makes the final decision, and a claim that fails is covered by the refund policy.
